user profile picture/apple ID profile picture

I have looked for ages on the apple community questions, but I cant find a solution to my issue. My profile picture on my lock screen will not change (I have a macbook air).

My Apple ID image and my Users & Groups image are the same in settings, but on my lock screen my picture is an old one and it wont change. I have tried changing the picture multiple times but it wont update.

I know its not a major issue however its very annoying as I cannot find a solution.

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 14.2

Check your pic in the Contacts.app

A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
