Hi.
For last two/three weeks Im getting crackling sound on my macbook 2015. First was right speaker, so moved slider to the left and after a week left speaker is crackling. Tried headphones, tried bluetooth and those are fine. Changing MIDI settings doesnt help. No water damage.
At the moment music is the worst but any other is not much better.

The internal speakers are bad. The speaker cones have degraded over time. I've had to replace a lot of the speakers in the 2013-2015 MBPros. Unfortunately you cannot purchase new speakers and any speakers you find from third party vendors will be used ones which will potentially have the same problem or the sound may be very weak. The speakers are very easy to replace in the 13" model, but it is very difficult to replace the speakers in the 15" model since everything inside the laptop must be removed to access the speakers.

Had that last week on my M1 and I just rebooted and it was gone.
