How to fix Apple Pencil Gen 1 stuck at 0% charge?

I just got an apple pencil Gen 1 today as a gift bought brand new and it had connected but it isn’t charged, i’m charging it as well and it is not moving from 0% and it’s not able to be used. What’s going on? how can i fix this, as i just received it?

Apple Pencil would not charge. A Apple Pencil (Gen 1) is connected successfully and functioning before the battery fully ran out. I recharge it normal as you would do but it never went up to 1%. It just stuck in charging.
