Experiencing considerable eye strain after connecting a Dell UltraSharp 4k monitor (U2723QE). Im sure its related to a setting, but have not been able to identify the issue to date. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Running 60 Hz refresh rate, USB-C connector cable, only 1 monitor. Mac mini M2 chip, latest software version.
What resolution setting are you using?
My Apple Silicon Mac offers five settings for that display:
The "looks like 2560x1440" mode offers the most readable text size. The last two settings cram so much text onto the screen that text becomes very small – and likely to cause eye strain.

Try lowering the display brightness using the Dells On-Screen menu or the Dell Peripheral Manager if you have that.
Thanks for the response. The setting was 1920 x 1080 showing as default. Switching to 3840 x 2160 made everything on the screen very small, icon bar covered a third of the screen or less.
Will continue to try some of the other options.
