Yes. Both, through the USB cable and over bluetooth.

None of the currently offered magic keyboards in Apple's Online store support the Late 2013 iMac. Support begins with the 2014 and later iMac models. This can be confirmed in the compatibility section for these product pages in the store.

Yes from personal experience new w/o Touch. Have it connected wired first, before using BT.
