Face id on my iPhone xs stops working randomly. I have to restart my iphone to make it work again
works fine for a few hours then again it just randomly stops working and if i reset it and try to setup again it says face id not available please try again later
but gets fixed after a restart.
tried cleaning and removing the screen protector but no luck .
would appreciate it if someone can give me a solution

Can you try turning of Require attention for Face ID and attention aware feature both and check if it works.
or you will need to take it into service center, either check with Apple or from where you replaced the battery. As you said you done it from market,- it’s most likely the device assembly issue after replacing battery as device needs to be disessembled to replace battery, if they were not certified by apple, it might be not assembled right.

Did your tried resetting Face ID on your device?
aslo, can you check if the attention aware feature in settings is turned ON or OFF in your iOS device? Check the front camera quality in camera app or see if there’s any other issue there, to see if there’s any hardware issue.
Hello once more~ Yes…likely an after market battery replaced by anyone other than Apple could indeed be the issue. Take it back and see if they can help you as it is also unlikely that Apple will help. Take care.

Oh, it doesnt show health as it got a aftermarket battery on it , can this be the reason ?, and about face id link you gave, i tried all the solutions
nothing works
except a restart, it works all the time but its a pain to always restart my phone to get the face id to work
front camera has no issues at all
its clean and clear
I tried turning on and off attention aware feature but did not help me
the moment face id stops responding i can reset the face id
but when i try to setup again it says face id not available try again later
but if i restart the iphone i can setup my face id again but it only works for couple of hours untill it again stops working
