Blinking orange macbook charger

My Macbook Air M2 13inches wont charge. The charger only shows blinking orange instead of the fixed orange light when charging. I already left it charging for a while but my macbook still won’t open. Please help me.

MacBook Air, macOS 13.0

if the Mac doesn't show any life it can be fail component on the logic board causing a power rail to short to ground

or if it dose show some life it can be damaged magsafe connector or lose connection between magsafe port and the logic board some apple stores are not known for having the best track record on just plugging in lose connectors besides apple doesn't do board level repair and replacing the whole board will cost a lot I recommend Bring it both to apple and a reputable and knowledgeable 3rd party shop

when the magsafe charger doesn't get a power on signal from the computer it doesn't output any power and if it is a short even of you gave power it wouldn't do anything

try to charge it with a usb-c cable to rule out some possibilitys a usb A to usb-c cable will do with a normal phone charger it just won't charge fast

If the indicator light flashes

If your battery is charging or charging is on hold, the indicator light glows amber. If the indicator light on the MagSafe 3 connector flashes amber repeatedly, try these steps:

  1. Disconnect the USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable from your Mac and from the power adapter.
  2. Disconnect the USB-C power adapter from the wall outlet.
  3. Use a dry cloth to wipe the MagSafe 3 port and MagSafe 3 connector. Make sure both the port and connector are dry and clear of any debris.
  4. Make sure the USB-C port on the power adapter and the USB-C connector are clear of any debris.
  5. Restart your Mac.
  6. Connect the USB-C power adapter to the wall outlet, connect the USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable to the power adapter and to your Mac, then try charging again.

If the indicator light continues to flash repeatedly, contact Apple.
