Mail app - search for emails by recipient on Sanoma

Maybe it's just me, but I find the search function in MacOS mail to be really bad, and failing at very basic features. Current struggle; I need to find all emails that I have sent to a specific recipient that have an attachment. There are actually 3 email addresses, each with the same domain name, so I search for "@domainname.com" but I can only restrict the results based on sender, subject or attachment name. Not recipient. Why Apple? Since I have a lot of back-and-forth email chains with this company, I have a ton of results. I try searching for "to domainname.com" but that still shows sent and received in the same results.

Is there a way to create a search using the more typical search operators? With Gmail, I can use the from: operator, I can filter results with attachments and filter by date. Why can't I do this in MacOS mail?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.5

unfortunately, that only happens for an exact match for a contact email. I wish I could do something as simple and useful as search for a term and restrict that search to my sent items folder. In my situation, I correspond with 3 or 4 contacts at the same company. I know I sent them a document, but finding that email is really hard. I'm forced to create 3 or 4 separate searches as a result.
