What is the best IINA alternative mac?

I've been encountering quite a few issues that are really frustrating. Playback glitches, occasional crashes, and compatibility hiccups have been bothering me more often than I'd like. As a result, I'm looking for a new media player that offers smoother performance and reliability.

I use the open-ended, free trial of MacGO Blu-ray Player Pro for .mkv, .mp4, .avi, or .wmv video and it is flawless. An alternative with even more diverse video playback options is the free VLC media player.

Using these on an M2 Mac mini Pro with Sonoma 14.5. I am using the Apple Silicon build of VLC which you can select by clicking the triangle on their Download button.
