Question about playing Ets 2 on MacBook Air m1

The whole purpose of a computer is to run apps.

Computers get warm whenever in use. Drawing power from the battery causes heat. Running the processor causes heat. Using the main memory causes heat. Using main storage causes heat. Both generating the graphics contents of and powering the display backlight causes heat.

Of all of the power that goes into a computer, the vast majority of that power turns into heat.

In the event that there are heating issues that might damage the Mac, the Mac will throttle performance, or will perform a hard shut down. But a Mac that gets warm when running intensive code is normal.

In all seriousness, Macs are made to run apps.

I know many folks that run their Macs hard, and for eight or more hours a day, and have had no issues.

If the Mac gets too hot or has other power- or heat- or performance-related issues, it’ll throttle, or shut down.
