Device Activation locked

I got activation locked by an unknown person from Apple ID and when I looked my iPad on the activation locked screen it said it can still be viewed on my Apple ID but when I checked my devices my iPad wasn’t found and I’m trying to erase it.

You’ll need to provide proof of ownership sufficient to convince Apple to release Activation Lock.

That can be the original purchase receipt from Apple or an Apple authorized reseller, for instance.

Otherwise, this iPad is a brick.
