Is it possible for spyware to delete apps from an iPhone XR?

Hello,

I have an iPhone XR that is update, also I have the Norton App with the VPN that helps detect and safeguard my navigation to fraudulent and malicious websites. One day I want to open a link and Norton says that this page may have potential malware, so I close immediately.

Then one day the camera and mic were open in the background, the green and yellow light turns on. Next I was in YouTube a the "screen time" blocks the app, but I didn't have any restrictions to YouTube in time.

But the more weird was that my bank app was erase from the iPhone, I check in the App Library and in the App Store a there was the app to download again. So in that moment I do a reset to my phone. (my bank account was safe).

What do you think, I saw in other forums that some apps causes glitches in the iPhone that can cause the camera to open, but I didn't see some one telling that an app was deleted from the phone.

Thanks

I would not trust Norton either.

You’re not appreciably helping your security here. Not past the built-in security.

Too many of these add-ons are noisy, too.

And various of these sorts of add-on security apps have been caught reselling personally-identified metadata.

Add-on “coffee shop” VPNs badly solve a problem that hasn’t existed for a decade or so, but badly solve it in a way that’s perfect for collecting personally-identified metadata, too.

I’d remove the add-on security apps, and use the built-in defenses.

Then see if things are working as expected.

PS: The add-on security cannot scan your iPhone.
