Can authorities access text information on iCloud?

Hi. I have texted and drove on my phone but I promised my mom I’d stop. How likely is it a person in charge of data like iCloud can look at my text information, tell authority, and I’ll get a ticket for this?

Well what I meant and checking yo be sure: how likely is it someone who works for google or apple eg can see the text I sent about driving and texting, alert authorities and I’ll then get a ticket? Granted of course I’m not driving texting again?

No. If the authorities have a court order, they can subpoena your carrier for data, but texting about doing something truly stupid is not going to get you in trouble.

You know that texting and driving is ILLEGAL and even worse DANGEROUS. So just DON'T text and drive.

Not likely to happen.

If you had an accident, the person in charge would pull up that information in a heart beat.

Come on man, stay off the phone when driving. Don't do it.

It's doubtful the authorities will be able to access your messages, but REALLY? You're breaking the law in likely every city and town there is. Not to mention that distracted driving is one of the biggest causes of accidents there is. If you want to kill yourself, that's up to you, but car accidents almost ALWAYS involve other cars with people in them. Is that message worth your life or the lives of others. Hopefully, the worst thing you'll face is being arrested for texting and driving. I guess you won't be around to see the face of your mom, if something worse happens........
