Why my new IPad pro M4 11inch battery is draining way too fast ?

Observation: With screen on ( not using app ) 5-10 mins battery drain around 3-5 % without any usage.
Observation: after charged at 80%, with light task around 2 hours battery dropped about 40%. it means 40% can use with just 2 hours.

i would like to ask this is a hardware issue or software issue ?

what is solution right now ?

Did you transfer your previous iPad backups to your new M4 iPad or start as new? For me this is my first time owning a iPad so I only transferred games, social media and streaming apps from my iPhone over to my M4 iPad 11 inch. I also turned off most of the apps for their background app refresh

This is my first ipad and i set up as new device. nothing run in background and after more than a week of usage still face the same issue as first day. anyway, i already update to new latest software 17.5.1. but it doesn't help.

Did you update the software first then install the apps you want or the other way around?
