How can I identify the battery type in my AirTag?

One of the airtags we purchased in 2022 was running low on battery so we bought some CR2032 in order to replace it. However, the battery that is in the airtag is quite a bit smaller than the CR2032. There are no markings on the battery so can someone tell me what battery was used in older Airtags? The battery looks to be about a half an inch in diameter.

Although rare, it is not impossible that Amazon (who you know uses third-party sources), to sell you a fake product. Amazon, like similar entities, is not a manufacturer, but just a distributor of products.

Regardless, being that you purchased this tag in 2022, I don't think it will qualify for Amazon's return policy if you are expecting to get either a free replacement or a reimbursement.
