Blue tooth and Car Play in 2024 Toytota Grand Highlander

in our new 2024 Toyota, with Iphone 12, blue tooth and car play routinely disconnects. Multiple times per day. A dealer close to me told us it is because our phone is too old and we need a 15. The dealer we bought it from acknowledges this is a problem and that it is an Iphone issue and they cannot do anything about it. Any ideas?

Toyota has a long history of compatibility problems with their head units with both CarPlay and Android Auto.

Your phone is not “too old”. That’s bunk. The head unit needs an update.

Thanks. My dealer was no help. I talked to Toyota customer service yesterday. They were some help. We will see
