How to delete my old iCloud email address on my iPad?

I can’t get any apps from App Store because my old iCloud email address keeps coming up in app purchases and I don’t have that iCloud address anymore. I need to know how to delete the old iCloud address.

iPad, iPadOS 17

Delete any apps using that account and download them with the new one. There's no easy way to identify which ones those are other than possibly disabling automatic updates. Wait until an app wants to be updated and try to update it. If it says it needs the old account then you know you have to delete it and download it again. It's either that or use Family Sharing with yourself on the two accounts.

Another post suggests you change your Apple ID (that's basically the email address or phone number you use to identify an account). Yes, that is what you should have done in the start, but to me it sounds like you now have two accounts going. Your choice is either to abandon one, or try to try to share between them. Purchases cannot be transferred between accounts, only shared. If you have no real history of use on the new account then abandon it. You can change the "Apple ID" used on the old account but now that you have made a new account with the new address, Apple won't let you re-use that address even if you delete the account. You will have to have an identifier address/number they haven't seen before.
