Disable or Turn off lock key on Magic Keyboard for iPad

Since getting a newer iPad Pro with the newest Magic Keyboard, I reach for the delete key about 10x a day and hit the new lock key. Not sure why this key even exists much less in such a heavily trafficked area. But can I re-assign it to delete, or make it do anything other than turn off the iPad?
