Unintentionally triggering two Apple TV

When someone turns on an Apple TV in the living room using voice through the remote or just saying it out loud to Siri a second tv in a bedroom turns on. How to keep this from happening.

Have you tried asking Siri to turn on/play on a device for a named room?

  • Room names and the devices assigned to each of the rooms, can be defined through HomeKit (e.g. Home app on iPhone). (Assuming no more than one Apple TV box per room.) Once the Apple TV box is part of HomeKit, then some configuration can alternatively be done on the Apple TV box as well.
  • Have you tried naming the devices uniquely and asking Siri to turn on/play on one of these devices by name?

Apple TV: Settings﹥AirPlay and HomeKit﹥

﹥[ʜᴏᴍᴇᴋɪᴛ] Room › … (choose room name for this device, or set a new room name)

﹥[ʜᴏᴍᴇᴋɪᴛ] Name › … (set device name) (unique names are better)
