Handoff works fine, but cannot switch FaceTime conversation from iPhone to Mac

Trying to switch a FaceTime conversation between my iPhone 15 Pro (iOS 17.5.1) and my MacBook Pro (14-in 2021, macOS Sonoma 14.5. There's no switch button on my iPhone, and no banner or button appears on my Mac. Strange thing is that Handoff is turned on for both devices and works well. FaceTime "you can be reached" options are identical on both devices, as well as the "start calls from" contact. I can even select my iPhone's camera within MacOS FaceTime and it'll switch just fine. Wi-fi and Bluetooth are turned on for both devices, and I've tried signing in and out and restarting them both as well, but no luck. Not sure what else to do?
