Brother iPrint&Scan App Crashing on MacBook Air M2 (macOS 14.5)

I am encountering an issue with the Brother iPrint&Scan application on my MacBook Air M2 running macOS 14.5. When I try to open the app, it quits unexpectedly and shows an error message. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error report for reference.

That cleaner app might have caused a problem.

Unfortunately, resolving corruptions can sometimes involve a reinstall.

I’d get a backup here first, if there's not a complete and current backup already available.

I’d next boot into Safe Mode, test the scanning, then reboot normally, and test again. This to see if the app starts working. This sequence can un-do damaged caches.

If not… Please download and run (free) EtreCheck, and share the results to the clipboard. Then open a new reply here, and press the Additional Text button that looks like a printed page, and paste and post the hardware and software configuration report here. From that, we can get a little more detail about what is installed and what is running here.

I’d get a backup here first, if there's not a complete and current backup already available. Backups are about the only way to mark data as being valuable.

Remove the add-on security apps, remove the add-in battery tool, and remove the cleaner apps (I don’t see anything called PrettyClean, but I do see CleanMyMac), all per the vendors’ instructions, restart, and test again.

Given what is installed, this may well be headed for a backup and reinstall.
