iphone 15 hacked twice in 2 weeks

Hi. My daughter's iPhone has been hacked twice in the last 2 weeks. Is there a list somewhere with steps to do on the phone to prevent this from happening again?

She is using a VPN.

Thanks for your help!

Some substantive - although sometimes overlapping - articles on the subject:

Use the built-in privacy and security protections of iPhone – Apple Support (AU)

Recognize and avoid social engineering schemes including phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

Personal Safety User Guide – Apple Support (AU)

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

However … the human - regardless of age - is always the weakest link. (Not meant as “victim blaming” … just a statement of fact)

Approx how old is your daughter?

The younger the child, the harder it is to drive home the two fundamental rules: 1) Don’t share your passcode, and 2) Don’t allow others unsupervised access to your unlocked phone.

VPN does not provide any protection; and actually using VPN INCREASES the risk of data compromise, because the VPN provider knows everything about your internet use. And many of them steal and sell that information. And if the VPN is free, that guarantees that your data will be stolen, because the provider has to make money somehow.
