Can I use the same Apple ID on both iPad devices?

I bough a new iPad but still need to use my old iPad too. Can I use the same Apple ID on both devices? If yes how do I restrict my personal info to just one iPad?

Thank you!

If you do not want data shared between the devices, deactivate iCloud sharing for the services you do not want shared. You have several cutting points where this can be done, and syncing will continue between iCloud and the devices still set to use those services.

Read this support article about how to change your iCloud feature settings [iOS and Mac] - Change which apps sync and store data with iCloud - Apple Support - "'When you turn off an iCloud feature on a device, information stored only in iCloud for that feature is no longer available on the device. If you turn off Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Reminders, or iCloud Photos on just one device, you can still view and change your information on iCloud.com and on another device you set up for that feature."

So, if you want service X on device A to sync with iCloud, but do not want it on device B, turn off syncing for service B with iCloud.

That 100% depends on what you mean by 'personal info'

By default, anything that uses your iCloud account will be synced across all devices.

If you have certain applications that you use which are not tied to your iCloud account (e.g. they don't use iCloud for synching/backup or anything), then you can install that and run it on one device only, and other will be unaware, but anything that uses iCloud (passwords, email, safari bookmarks, etc.) will be shared.

Yes, you can use the same Apple ID on both devices, as long as you are the user of both devices. If you are giving the old device to a friend of family member, you should remove all of your data from it. You should not share an Apple ID with another person.

What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you are planning on using one iPad for personal and one for work, that's a tougher question. I would tend to recommend a second Apple ID for the work iPad.
