Screen Time issue on child's phone

When I log onto screen time, it is telling me that my child may have "inadvertently swiped Screen Time away" and asks me to fix the issue by locating the screen time icon with a lock on it. I can find the screen time icon, but there is no lock. Also, features that were free before like managing apps and setting a daily limit appear to be "premium features". What is going on?

Screen Time is free. There are no premium features for it. What are you seeing that makes you think they are premium?

On the child's iPhone, just go to Settings ➜ Screen Time.

If you are using a 3rd party App for parental restrictions, rather than Screen Time in settings, then the App may have some features that require a subscription or other paid upgrade, but that would have nothing to do with Screen Time.

If using a 3rd party app that can be swiped away and closed, then you will need to contact the App developer for specific help with the app.
