iOS update for Iphone 6S

My Iphone 6s shows my software version as iOS 15.8.2. When I try to update to the latest version it's telling me that iOS 15.8.2 is up to date. Is this the latest iOS version for Iphone 6s?

For that phone, iOS 15.8.2 is the latest for now.

About iOS 15 Updates - Apple Support

If there are more iOS 15 updates, the iPhone 6S will presumably be eligible for them. The iPhone 6S cannot be updated to iOS 16 or later.

Yes, 15.8.2 is the latest and last update the iPhone 6S can take.

It is, unless Apple decides differently. If they do it might tend to be a security update, not one for basic functionality.
