To automatically transfer all your photos to your Macbook Air, iCloud could be the most suitable choice.

To add to OliviaMarsh's reply remember you'll have to purchase enough iCloud storage to store all of the photos in the library at full size. You only have 5 GB of space that is free with an iCloud account. The rest must be purchased under a subscription.

Olivia is right in that the only "automatic" way to get the photos from your iPhone to your Mac is with iCloud Library.

You could connect the iPhone to your Mac on a schedule and import the photos directly into the Mac's Photos Library. But it's not "automatic".
