M1 MacBook Air external display stuck at 1920x1080p@30Hz

I try to connect my M1 MacBook Air with my 4K external display (Philips 288E2UAE) and when I try to change the resolution to a smaller one (since the display's native resolution is too large), ie. an 1920x1080p HiDPI resolution, my MacBook automatically scales it into the 30Hz variant and I am unable to select a 60hz variant of that resolution.

I tried out numerous ways to connect it into my display:

USB-C hub with HDMI port = failed.

USB-C to HDMI cable (which supports 4K@60Hz) = failed.

USB-C to DP adapter (allegedly supports 4K@60Hz) = failed.

It's getting annoying since I ordered a desktop Mac (M2 Mac Mini) for desktop usage and I fear that I might not be able to use my display at it's full capacity.

Edit: I also have a PC and it works perfectly fine, so it must be some sort of scaling issue.
