iPhone 15 Pro's battery health dropped by 2 percent

I purchased my iPhone 15 pro in April this year and my battery health dropped by 2 percent. I have just 80 cycles and my power saving mode turns on below 40 percent and i never charge my phone above 80 percent. I rarely do heavy gaming for which i need 2 charges per day. I have an average screen time of 4.5 hrs then why is my battery health going down it hasn’t been 3 months. My friend has an average screen time of 7 hrs and has about 120 cycles and he purchased with me and he’s still at 100 percent can anyone explain?

It is normal to expect Battery Health / Maximum Capacity to decline about 1% for every 25 charge cycles.

You have 80 charge cycles on the battery, so 80 divided by 25 = 3.2%, so I would expect your Battery Health to be at about 97% at this time.

Something is amiss with your friend's battery readings. There is no way that the battery is really still at 100% after 120 cycles. It really should be reading about 95% at this time. If it really is truly at 100%, your friend should send flowers to Apple for their amazing battery that must have really been at 105% when new. In 15+ years working with iPhones, I have never seen anything like this.

For what it's worth, my battery declines about 1% for every 40 charge cycles, but I use Optimized Battery Charging and ignore the 80% limit. I connect the power adapter to the phone at night and leave it connected all night....every night.

Seems normal. I would just use it as you see fit.
