FaceTime on my iPhone 12 is making calls without my knowledge
Hi team, I have had report from a contact that at 1:41am AEST 17th July 2024 they received FaceTime calls from me and an another family member at the same time.
The recipient (brother), me and my family member (mother) are all under the same Apple family plan.
This is the middle of the night and caused distress for the recipient.
We did not initiate these calls and there is no record of them in my or my family member’s call history - but there is on the recipients history.
My phone is on a stand charging over night and I’d accept it could have been an unconscious fumble in the night - but the fact it was both me and my mother calling my brother at the exact same time points to something else.
Our Apple ID is secure, no other unknown devices are connected to our accounts and no issues with our security, all checks have been done and validated - this looks to be an issue with either a bug or issue that causes people under the same Apple family plan to call another family member at 1:41am or an undetectable security breach within Apple’s systems.
How do I deal with this?
Apple Support does not provide options for me to call them on this topic. There is also no option I can find to share this FaceTime bug.
