How do I use my iPhone GPS location for iPad Pro?

How is it I can use my iPhone GPS for my Canon cameras geotag locations EXIF data, but not my iPad Pro? All of the responses I have found are outdated as usual because they updated the settings menu. Or disabled it? Like finding a needle in a haystack except with every 'update' settings are changed/deleted or moved to a different location. Why keep changing the settings menu? I don't have time to take a new iPados class just to have to set up my iPad Pro with every update. User frustration.

Consider the functional differences between WiFi Only and WiFi+Cellular models of iPad...

Aside from the obvious Cellular functionality, only WiFi+Cellular models have built-in GNSS/GPS location capabilities - which may impact any Apps or features that require or use accurate and consistent location data - such as geotagging a photo's EXIF metadata.

WiFi Only models of iPad have no Cellular capabilities - and as GNSS/GPS functionality is derived from the Cellular chipset, a WiFi Only iPad lacks the means by which to generate accurate location data. However, it is possible to add GNSS/GPS positioning capabilities to a WiFi Only iPad by using a dedicated GPS receiver - such as BadElf or Garmin GLO.

By contrast, an iPhone does have built-in GNSS/GPS positioning capabilities - and can therefore use this data for geotagging photos taken with the iPhone's camera. Be aware that when usung a mobile phone’s hotspot to provide a cellular network connection for a tethered device (such as an iPad) the phone does not share GPS information derived from its own positioning capabilities.
