How do I stop the Facebook webpage pop-ups on Browsers of my Mac?

This ridiculous problem just won't go away no matter what settings I have in Chrome and in Safari, not to mention Facebook itself.

The last person who asked this question some years back didn't get a workable solution so I hope someone else knows what to do now.

If it is only Facebook, then this may not help, but check for notifications in both the System Settings and your browser settings.

Thanks but sadly, I have already done that for Chrome and for Safari. Logged out, re-booted and still no luck.
