How do I block incoming spam Messages on my iPhone?

Earlier today i got a long message on imessage about a job offer, i thought it was legit, because i have recently put my cv out to a lot of different job offers. But as i opened the message, i saw it wasnt real, as there were alot of spelling errors, and it was basically a “get rich quick, and be your own boss” type of message. I found it weird, that there wasnt any link in the message? I opened the message, so have i been hacked? Or what was the hackers hopes?

Just reading a message will not enable anyone to hack your phone any more than opening a letter will let someone rob your house. If there had been a link in the message and you had clicked on it and you had then given out information, that information might have then been used to scam you. But, it still wouldn't have hacked your phone. It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to remotely compromise an iPhone. Most of us just aren't worth that.
