Windows 11 Laptop doesn't recognize iPhone 5s | Doesn't have AMDS either
Hello all!
I was recently trying to restore an old iPhone 5s. The internal components and hardware are in perfect working condition. When I inserted the USB to connect the iPhone to the laptop, it simply didn't show up on iTunes.
I went to Device Manager to check if the USB device is locked/disabled, but it simply didn't show. It didn't recognize any USB plugged in. I have tested both of my laptop's USB ports and both are working perfectly fine. Furthermore, the USB to lightning cable I am using is also perfectly fine, and is able to charge my other iPhone X.
Next, I ran "services.msc" to see if AMDS (Apple Mobile Device Service) was working, but yet again that also didn't show up!
I have tried:
- Restarting my laptop
- Redownloading iTunes
- All official Apple Troubleshooting guides
None of them have worked! Is there anything I can do to fix this or restore my iPhone?
