Turn off persistent airdrop notifications

For most apps, you can configure their notifications to NOT be persistent: just be a temporary banner. I can't find this setting with Airdrop. Does anyone know how to turn these notifications to just a temporary banner so I'm not seeing AirDrop notifications from weeks ago on my lock screen? TY!

Thank you for the reply. I actively use Airdrop between my devices, so I wouldn't want to turn it off. I'm looking for a way to make the notifications temporary instead of persistent. I do know how to swipe left, but usually don't bother to do so as most apps have the option to simply set the notifications to temporary.
