The merchant has issued the refund. I got the refund ID transaction number, but I don’t see any of it in my Apple Pay wallet when I receive my refund or how do I go about to get my refund?

Apple Pay is a payment system. The Wallet app holds cards... credit cards, debit cards, Apple Cash card, etc.
A refund would be made to the card you used to make the purchase. If you used a credit or debit card, it would credit against the card. Check your bank statement.
