Does my iPad 10th gen have Face ID?

Hi, I have 2 devices, iPhone 14 and iPad 10th gen. Why do I always have to keep signing into apple id on the iPad to login into apps?

can’t find any Face ID option on the iPad, all works fine on the IP14 but iPad always asks for fingerprint verification, would be perfect if Face ID also worked on iPad, I can’t find anywhere that confirms if this is an option with 10th gen or not. Thanks for any help.

Hello, the iPad 10th generation uses only Touch ID as an authentication method. It doesn’t have the hardware for Face ID like your iPhone 14 has. Conversely, the iPhone 14 doesn’t have the hardware for Touch ID and relies exclusively on Face ID.
