iPhone 15 Pro / Emergency Bypass? / Focus Do Not Disturb?

I want to set my iPhone 15 Pro to only allow certain individuals' phones to ring through when my phone is in silent mode. I see there are two options. 1.) Emergency Bypass, 2.) Do Not Disturb.

I have about 15 people I’d like to have in bypass mode. What if I enter a location where I don’t want my phone to ring no matter what. I’d like to be able to toggle those 15, as a group, off where they also cannot get through. Then toggle them back on, as a group, so they can bypass the silent setting once again.

Or is my only option to shut my phone off completely in such situations?

Your best bet would be setting up a Focus. Emergency Bypass was really useful with the less powerful Do Not Disturb but now that we have Focus, it's redundant. And, you'd have to turn each person on and off individually. Focus, on the other hand will allow you to do exactly what you want.

I would link you to the instructions for Focus but there is currently a problem with a lot of the support documents on Apple's end. In a few hours, put into your favorite search engine "site:apple.com focus iPhone" (without the quotes". I get the instructions as the top hit.

What you probably want to do is go to Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturb. Tap on "People". Make sure "Silence Notifications From" is checked. Then, tap the blue plus to add the people. Make sure that "Allow Calls from Silenced People" is off.
