Apple needs built-in camera shutter

Apple advises us not to use outside camera covers as it worsens their laptops' ability to close properly. Why don't they just build one in their computers/laptops like similar Windows laptops, like Lenovo? People are worried about their cameras being hacked, and who is to say that the Macs won't be? It's almost as if they want us to continue disregarding their advice anyway because it means they want us to buy a(nother) computer. Apple, please do better and create a built-in camera shutter for your laptops.

Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about your ideas.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what to features to include in models to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that you want this to be an option, and why. Include the URL of this post
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Apple changed the behavior of the built-in camera some years ago so that the camera can no longer be activated without seeing the bright LED next to the camera.

People can cut a small piece of a Post-It Note to cover the camera if they do not trust the Privacy & Security section of the System Settings which controls which apps are allowed access to the Camera and other items.
