How do I access my premium Podcast subscription on my Desktop using iTunes?

I'm a new premium member and have not been able to use the podcast subscription on my Desktop. I've tried and I've been routed to iTunes which doesn't let me DL podcasts or see more than a few podcast channels! I want Podcasts, iTunes is set up for music!
