MY FREEFORM IS NOT WORKING RIGHT ON MY IPAD

I’m a 11 years old iPad user and I bought my first iPad it’s iPad Air 6 I think. The reason I bought this is because I like to draw things and I wanted to try drawing on iPad too. But my Freeform just keeps turning off by itself while I’m still drawing and my iPad gets hot, like REALLY HOT although I only used my iPad for roughly 20 minutes. Other drawing apps that I downloaded are working just fine but only freeform is not working I’ve tried powering off my iPad and try again but it would just do the same thing I don’t know if it’s wrong with my iPad or my pencil.
