Entered wrong email address setting up Apple ID

The email address I entered I showed as ending in .com which was incorrect. When I go to validate the email address I can't because that .com was incorrect so I do not receive the email to validate the address.

You can contact Apple but I suspect that particularly since this is a brand new account you should simply to create a new account with the correct address this time. The problem then may be one of trusted phone numbers. I get conflicting information about that. Not everybody in the world has their own telephone. Some people on this forum say you can only use a number with one account, but then I ask what about a family where not everybody may have their own number? I didn't have my own until a few years ago.
