Pages has a nice feature for removing image background - iPhoto does not. I want to copy an image from iPhoto to Pages, remove the background, then copy it back to iPhoto.

I discovered a way to do this! Copying the image from iPhoto to pages and removing the background is straightforward but then getting an image to import back into iPhoto is the trick.

My solution was to create a new pages document for the single image, then in the Export To I select "Images". This will then create a folder containing my image as a PNG file rather than a PDF. iPhoto will then import the PNG file.
