iPad stuck after typing in passcode, automatically restarts itself.

If you have a computer, check this:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
Try factory resetting it, restoring it with a computer with iTunes, or check the panic logs in settings.
I can type in my passcode however, my iPad 10 generation doesn't let me get past the passcode, it freezes then after about 45 seconds it automatically restarts itself and sends me back to the passcode login. I have held the top button and home screen several times and released once apple symbol shows and still doesn't allow me to log in.
Note, I can type in the wrong passcode and it clears but once I type in the correct passcode it freezes then does the above

how do I factory reset? I can log in and don't have it connected to any other devices
iPad screen gets stuck and restart after I type in my passcode. I have forced restart several time
