iPhone malware exists, though available evidence indicates it is rare, targeted, and expensive.

iPhone has built-in anti-malware scanning and removal tooling.

Proving that no malware exists in a configuration is also effectively impossible. Thus as proving a negative is difficult, at best.

“Virus” is a term usually relegated to marketing and entertainment in recent years. Technically, a self-replicating “virus” is vanishingly rare on iPhone, and quite rare on most other platforms. Other terms including “malware” are more common.

Websites that are coded in HTML with those fake popups claiming that your iPhone has a virus are completely invalid.

A popup from a website does not have the ability to access your system files, modify them, then demand payment to remove something that never existed.

Don’t believe those scams.
