The 38mm, 40mm and 41mm Apple Watches all use the same watch band connector.
The 42mm, 44m, and 45mm Apple Watches aka yes the same watch babd connector.
So find a 38, 40 or 41mm watch band and use it with your 38mm Apple Watch.
