Can I access the same software on a ventura as I can on a Mac Air M3 2024?

I am starting uni in September and the requirements before starting states that I need a Mac Os Ventura or higher to be compatible for the software required on my uni course. I like the look of the mac air M3 2024. Would this laptop also be compatible with the software needed to access? I am new to the world of Macs so any help would be amazing! Thank you.

All of the M3 MacBook Airs originally shipped with macOS 14.3 (Sonoma). Sonoma is higher than Ventura.

You may want to check the requirements for the software you will be using to see if they say anything regarding the minimum and recommended amount of RAM. You can order more RAM at the time you get a Mac laptop – but you cannot add more RAM later. So it is important to get enough, even if that means custom-ordering.

You can get M3 MacBook Airs with 8, 16, or 24 GB of RAM.
