How do I change the international dialling code in the "Call Using iPhone" feature?

Hi 🙂

I just moved from the U.K. to the U.S. Whenever I try to call a U.S. number using the "Call Using iPhone" feature on my MacBook, the +44 international dialling code for the U.K. is added before the U.S. area code I am trying to dial. This results in me not being able to place calls to U.S. numbers from my MacBook. How do I get rid of the +44 that is automatically inserted in front of the U.S. numbers?

I'm posting this to answer because I was experiencing the same issue and fount an old post that didn't have a resolution.

You just have to go to "General" → "Language & Region" → "Region" and change it to the country you are living in now.

Hope this helps!
