How do I unlock my WD Passport which wouldn't mount on my MacBook running macOS Sonoma?

Then the issue rests with the Third Party Software from WD that is locking the drive

That falls clearly Out-Side the Domain of Apple and belongs solely with the Third Party Application Developers

If it is locked open the get info pane (Command i) and see about unlocking the padlock(?)
