How to find Keychain password for an App?

I have an app that on occasion pops up requiring a keychain password, I would hit deny and it would continue to operate. Now it is requiring the keychain password but I have no idea what it is or where to find it. Is it app specific?

The dialog is soliciting your usual login password, which will unlock that Keychain.

I understand you know the app requesting confidential information (unhelpfully named "security") is legitimate, but it should go without saying that you should never provide a password unless you know the reason your credentials are being solicited.
