My new iPad is called an iPhone in apple ID, how do I change this?

I used my iPhone to set up new iPad, but the device name in apple ID on the iPad Air will not show it as an iPad Air, shows it as an iPhone. Can't seem to fix this.

Initial setup of a new device using QuickStart, or restoring from a backup, will cause the new device to inherit the name of the source device. As such, if using an iPhone to setup a new iPad, the iPhone's name will be inherited by the iPad.

You can change the device name in iPad settings:

Settings > General > About > Name - edit as required

After changing the device name, you will need to shut-down and restart the iPad for the change to take effect:

Settings > General > Shut Down
